Social Template Refresh

As the Junior Designer I worked closely with the Social Media Manager to refresh our social platforms. Threadless at its core is bold, fun and inclusive. We wanted to create a cohesive look across the platforms, find new ways to engage with our community and introduce more video content to enhance the already amazing branding of Threadless.

Futura is the brand’s typeface and my goal was to find a way to mesh the boldness and timelessness of Futura with the branding of Threadless with the wide variety of artwork found on the website. The question was how do you create templates with fun and bold branding across social to promote unique and amazing artwork without it clashing? Below are the answers.

We started the refresh with a simple touch up to the social accounts and created new banners, logos and highlight icons.

Each quarter Threadless changes the color palette that becomes part of the evergreen branding for the season. The colors to the left is the palette I created for quarter two 2022.

Sharing New Artists

As more and more artists opened shops I wanted to find a new way to share their work in a video format on our social accounts. I share three artists at a time and link to their artist shops to drive new customers to their pages. I created a template that could be easily personalized to fit each artist’s color scheme and style.

Throughout the refresh I added sticker logos to some of our weekly features. For this sticker I wanted to call out that it’s a new artist that we are loving with the heart. I also made sure that on its feature page it can be the main attention grabber but on the artist slides it can blend in and let the art stand out.

Artist of the Week

This was one of my favorite features to create each week. I curated three artists to feature as our artists of the week each week. I grouped three artists together with their art styles, themes, color schemes, causes, popularity, etc. The goal was to create one slide that shows the breadth of work they create and give the viewer a reason to swipe up to the shop. Often we find that artist love these and repost them to their story when we tag them!
